The Elise scalloped frame comes in 17 sizes: 5x7, 8x10, 8.5x11, 11x14, 11x17, 12x16, 12x18, 16x20, 18x24, 20x24, 20x28, 20x30, 24x30, 24x32, 24x36, 28x40 and 30x40 inches. The larger sizes work beautifully as scalloped poster frames and statement wall frames.

Scalloped Frame FAQ

A scalloped frame, or scalloped-edge frame, has a wavy edge instead of a straight profile, making it a soft, decorative frame for your wall or shelf. The Elise's scallops are cut from solid wood, then sanded and finished by hand to remove any imperfections. It's inspired by the simplicity and charm of Scandinavian folk art, and each one is made by us in Boise, Idaho.

The Elise comes in 17 sizes, from 5x7 to 30x40 inches. The Size Chart on each product page lists the mat opening and the exterior frame size for every size. See our guides for the 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20 scalloped picture frames.

White oak is pale and neutral, walnut is warm and dark with more contrast, and maple is light and bright with a fine, even grain.

Sizes up to 16x20 come with real glass. Sizes above 16x20 use Plexiglass (acrylic).

Two steel sawtooth hangers are attached to the back, so you can hang the frame horizontally or vertically. Each frame has a 1/8" fiberboard backing held in place by turn-button fasteners. Artwork is not included.

Yes, mats are available for every size. On the product page, choose the standard mat opening for your frame size or enter a custom mat opening, then pick from seven mat colours.
