16 x 20 in
The name 16x20 refers to the artwork, not the frame. The scalloped wood adds about 2 inches on every side, so the frame measures 20x24 inches on the outside. When you plan wall space or measure above a sofa or console, use 20x24 in. The two sawtooth hangers let you hang it vertically, or horizontally at 24 inches wide.
16x20 in the room
At 20x24 inches on the outside, a 16x20 scalloped frame is large enough to anchor a wall on its own, yet still easy to style on a console, a mantel or a shelf. Customers have used theirs for paintings, maps and wedding photos. It is also the largest Elise size that still comes with real glass, which makes it a natural choice for a large scalloped frame or a scalloped poster frame.

Cut precisely, finished by hand
The scallops are precision-cut in solid wood, then sanded and finished by hand to remove any imperfections.
Hangs both ways
Two steel sawtooth hangers on the back let you hang the frame horizontally or vertically.
Ready to fill
A 1/8 inch fiberboard backing is held in place by turn-button fasteners. Artwork is not included.

The 16x20 Elise measures 20x24 inches on the outside, including the scalloped edge. That is the size to use when you plan your wall. The 16x20 measurement is the artwork area inside the frame.
