The name 18x24 refers to the artwork, not the frame. The scalloped wood adds about 1.75 inches on every side, so the frame measures 21.5x27.5 inches on the outside. When you plan wall space or measure above a sofa or console, use 21.5x27.5 in. The two sawtooth hangers let you hang it vertically, or horizontally at 27.5 inches wide.

At 21.5x27.5 inches on the outside, an 18x24 scalloped frame is a statement piece: big enough for a poster, a large print or a painting above a sofa, a bed or a console. The front is Plexiglass (acrylic) rather than glass, which keeps a frame this size lighter on the wall.

A 1/8 inch fiberboard backing is held in place by turn-button fasteners. Artwork is not included.
